Position Summary & Requirements
Now Hiring an Asset Management Analyst to support the firm’s investment, asset management, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play an active role in evaluating, monitoring, and managing investments, with a particular focus on distressed, special situations, and value-oriented opportunities. The role provides direct exposure to senior investment professionals and meaningful participation in investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fundamental research and financial analysis on existing and prospective real estate investments.
Evaluate distressed, special situations, and value-oriented investment opportunities.
Analyze complex capital structures, restructurings, recapitalizations, asset sales, bankruptcies, and other event-driven transactions.
Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, recovery analyses, and downside case scenarios to support investment decisions.
Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, covenant compliance, business plans, and key investment metrics.
Prepare investment memoranda, due diligence materials, portfolio reviews, and presentations for senior management and the Investment Committee.
Partner with acquisitions, asset management, accounting, legal, and executive leadership to support investment and portfolio management initiatives.
Leverage artificial intelligence and modern analytical tools to enhance investment research, financial analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Develop and refine AI-assisted workflows for market research, financial modeling, document review, and knowledge management.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical solutions that improve investment analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
Assist in building and maintaining internal databases, dashboards, and analytical tools that support portfolio management and strategic initiatives.
Promote best practices for the responsible, accurate, and compliant use of AI and technology across the investment platform.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in asset management, restructuring, distressed investing, special situations, private credit, investment banking, turnaround consulting, or a related field.
- Strong financial statement analysis, valuation, and financial modeling skills.
- Solid understanding of capital structures, credit analysis, bankruptcy processes, and distressed investment strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, research quality, financial analysis, and decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms.
- Experience evaluating distressed debt, stressed credit, special situations, restructurings, or opportunistic investments is preferred.
- Familiarity with bankruptcy proceedings, creditor negotiations, and restructuring transactions is preferred.
- Experience with generative AI platforms, workflow automation tools, data visualization software, or business intelligence applications is preferred.
- Basic programming or data analysis skills (Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools) are a plus.
- CFA designation or progress toward CFA certification is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly and effectively.
